Human Services

The Office of Community Development administers Federal Community Development Block Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the City of Ann Arbor participating jurisdictions in Washtenaw County.  City and County General Funds may also be allocated to assure benefit to low-income households primarily by:

• Contracting with nonprofit organizations to deliver essential services
• Working with the the City of Ann Arbor's Housing and Human Services Advisory Board and the Washtenaw Urban County Executive Commitee to develop and implement community-wide goals and initiatives

Human Services are supported according to the priorities included in the following documents:
