About the FAET Program
Welcome to the Washtenaw County Michigan Works! Food Assistance Employment & Training (FAE&T) Program. As a participant in the FAE & T program you will work closely with an employment mentor to identify and achieve your employment goals.
The FAE&T is a program designed to educate, support, inform and advocate for participants, connect employers with suitable employees so both strive to reach their goals and strengthen our community. The FAE&T Program to assist Able Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWD's) who participate in employment and training activities that will assist the individual in obtaining and retaining employment.
The goal of Washtenaw County's FAE&T program is to provide vocational and personal development through knowledge and skills that lead to viable employment.
This program is designed to build success through a learning environment in which participants experience growth in abilities and knowledge along with the self-confidence to successfully attain goals. The FAE&T program offers job readiness activities that increase your employability and opportunities for participants who need additional training to reach their employment potential.
Our program is structured in a way that fosters a positive attitude, sense of community and provides support. The staff is committed to providing exceptional customer service while creating an environment where you want to learn and succeed.
