The Washtenaw County Michigan Works! Service Center (MWSC) is available to everyone in the community who is interested in exploring career options, searching for a new job, going back to school for retraining, or starting a business. Located in Ypsilanti, the MWSC cultivates a unique partnership between workforce and economic development contributing to the vitality of the Washtenaw County community.




Register to Work

Individuals that are currently unemployed and wish to complete the "Register to Work" requirement for Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) benefits must physically appear at a Michigan Works service center AND post a resume on the Pure Michigan Talent Connect website - CLICK HERE TO BEGIN 


Resource Room

Job seekers may use the computers, fax machine, printer and other resources available in the common to complete job applications, resumes, cover letters and any job seeking related activities. CLICK HERE FOR THE RESOURCE ROOM STANDARDS


Job Club

Job seekers are invited to join other job seekers for group discussions guided by Michigan Works staff members. The Job Club is an opportunity to expand your network while also gaining a better understanding of the trends and strategies used in job seeking. CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS



Plan to attend weekly workshops for resumes, interviews, job searching, networking and other activities for job seekers. These workshops are designed to help job seekers compete in the labor market.
