Summer Food Service Program (SFSP):
The Summer Food Service Program is administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Michigan Department of Education. Sponsors receive funding from these departments in order to provide free summer meals at a variety of sites. The Washtenaw County Office of Community and Economic Development (OCED) is sponsoring a number of sites this summer. Meals are provided to children under the age of 18 who qualify for free and reduced meals during the school year. If you are seeking meals for the summer, please contact the sites located on this list, which includes sites sponsored by OCED, Food Gatherers, and Ypsilanti School District).
If you are seeking to become a site for summer food provision in the future, please contact 734-622-9025. Due to limited resources, sites are required to operate at least three weeks.
