Housing Rehabilitation Program Overview

The Office of Cummunity and Economic Development administers teh Housign Rehabilitation Program using Federal HUD funds.  The Program is designed to brign eligible property owners dwellings into compliance with common housing standards to provide safe and decent and affordable housing for Washtenaw County residents.

The Program has five major components:

  1. Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation
  2. Energency Repair Program
  3. Accessibility Repair Program
  4. Manufactured Home Rehabilitation
  5. Energy Efficienty Improvements

Assistance is available for income-eligible low to moderate income homeowenrs within an eligible Urban County Jurisdiction. Assistance is available on a first come first served basis.  Due to the nature of the program it is expected that there will be more applicants who apply for the program that we can realistically assist.  There is a waiting list for qualified applicants who are not selected for the current cycle of funding.  Call 734-622-9036 to inquire.
