Housing Rehabilitation Program Contractor Information

The Office of Community & Economic Development (OCED) operates the Housing Rehabilitation Program serving income eligible homeowners in the Washtenaw Urban County jurisdictions.

The Owner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program has four primary components:

  1. Emergency repair assistance
  2. Accessibility ramps
  3. Single Family Home Rehabilitation
  4. Manufactured home repair assistance

OCED also works with Housing Developers on projects which are financed through OCED and include: Home Buyer Programs for Single-Family Home Rehabilitation projects and Multi-Family / Rental Housing Rehabilitation projects.

OCED offers licensed general and residential contractors an opportunity to become an approved contractor in order to bid on multi-family and single-family rehabilitation projects funded through the department.   Only approved contractors may bid on OCED projects. To become an approved bidder, contractors and subcontractors must attend the mandatory OCED contractor application meeting.

Contractors and subcontractors must RSVP for the training prior to the RSVP deadline (04/14/2015). Application packets will be distributed only at the application meeting to those contractors and subcontractors present for the training.
