Down Payment Assistance Programs

Residents of Washtenaw County may be eligible for downpayment assistance to help with the costs of purchasing their first home.

Homeownership Assistance Programs are open to households currently living in Washtenaw County and purchasing in Washtenaw County.

Currently, the program is administered through the Michigan State Housing and Development Authority.  The best way to connect to the program is to work with a MSHDA approved lender, and by participation in the Homebuyer Education Program.

  • FHLB - Federal Home Loan Bank Home Ownership Program (HOP)
