Clinical Tech Committee
The Clinical Tech Committee meets monthly to manage clinical enhancements to the Encompass Electronic Health Record (EHR) while utilizing an efficient process to assure input from appropriate stakeholders. In addition to managing the clinical enhancements, this committee will ensure compliance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) via the External Quality Review (EQR), HIPAA (Healthcare Information Portability and Accountability Act – 1996), Joint Commission (JCHO), and the emerging best clinical practices as they relate to EHRs. Finally, this committee will identify ways to reduce the amount of documentation required by staff while identifying improvements in processes to assure compliance.
