"The Lamp" Newsletter Archives
Welcome to The Lamp, a regular bulletin of the latest notices and
information from the County Clerk/Registers Office.
An oil lamp with two flames, representing the Countys two
universities, is the central feature of our Washtenaw County logo and
the inspiration behind the newsletter title. Lauren Wild,
formerly of Saline, designed the seal which bears the date of
Washtenaw Countys legal organization, 1826, and three abstract symbols:
tassels of wheat for agriculture, a gear for industry, and the lamp.
