Rob Turner (R)

Rob Turner is excited to be serving in his first term as the Washtenaw County District 1 Commissioner.

Rob is a life-long resident of Washtenaw County and now resides with his wife Juli and daughters, Madeleine and Molly in the City of Chelsea.

Before the County Commission, Rob served for over nine years as a Trustee of the Chelsea School District Board of Education.  During his term on this board, he served on many committees and other positions including Board Treasurer and Secretary.  His service to the children, families, and all those living in the Chelsea School District was a real joy in his life.

Commissioner Turner has been the owner of Turner Electric Service, Inc. in Dexter, MI since 1987.  His family business is a founding member of the Western Washtenaw County Business Association and Rob remains a member of the IBEW Local Union 252.  Rob is currently serving on the Spring Arbor University Board of Administration, is the governor of the Board of Administration of the MI Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association, and serves on the Labor/Management & Health Care/Pension committees with SCECA working with the IBEW Local Union 252 Management.  Rob is on or has served on many boards and committees at the denominational, conference, and local church level of the Free Methodist Church of North America and is a member along with his family at the Chelsea Free Methodist Church.

Commissioner Turner is looking forward to working with his fellow Commissioners to keep Washtenaw County the best place to live, work, and do business and to do this more efficiently and cost effectively.
