 1. Water Resources Commissioner
 
 a. Clean Michigan Initiative Nonpoint Source Pollution Control Fund and Section 319 of the Clean Water Act
Grant App

 
        -Ratifying the submission of the grant application
        -To the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ)
        -For the period of October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2018
 

       -To develop agricultural stewardship and conservation practices. 
       -To more efficiently target conservation practices to benefit downstream water quality, reducing the risk of harmful algal blooms in Lake Erie
 
       -This is a first time submission for this program
 
     -For a total program of $270,053
     - Federal Revenue: $199,750
     - In-Kind Contributions: $20,303
     - Use of Board’s previously undesignated allocation: $50,000
 
     -Indirect costs of $16,440 have been included in the grant application
 
 RECOMMENDATION: Approval at Board
 
 b. Stormwater/Asset Management Plan Grant Application – Northeast Saline River        Grant App
 
    -Ratifying the submission of the grant application
    -To the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ)
    -For the period of June 1, 2014 through May 1, 2017
 
    -To fund staffing, consulting, software and hardware to implement an Asset Management System that includes inventory, condition assessment, criticality of assets, operation and maintenance planning and capital improvements 
   -To strengthen that ability of local units’ of government to make informed decisions with regard to stormwater collection and treatment, master planning, zoning and site plan review
 
   -This is a first time submission for this program
 
   -For a total program of $571,633
   -Federal Revenue: $514,497
   -Local/In-Kind Match (Personal Services and Pittsfield Township Revenue):  $57,166
  -County Match: $0
 
  -Indirect costs are not eligible in this application
 
 RECOMMENDATION: Approval at Board
