Intermediate School District (WISD) Contract (Contract)
- Authorizing the Administrator to sign the contract with the
Washtenaw Intermediate School District
- For the period of 7/1/2009 to 6/30/2011
- To fund educational programs at the Detention Center and the Day
Program (through January 29, 2010)
- In the amount of $461,068 for the 2009-10 school year
- The estimated net cost to the County for the 2009-10 school year
following eligible reimbursements is $148,283; this cost will be included
in the 2009-10 budget

- Ratifying the County Administrator's signature on the
application
- To the Area Agency on Aging 1-B
- For the period of October 1, 2009 to September 30,
2012
- For the funding period of October 1, 2009 to September 30,
2010
- To provide hot, nutritious, noonday meals and recreational
programming for 825 persons age sixty and older at 19 sites
- To provide meals to 685 eligible homebound persons age sixty and
older through the home-delivered meals program
- In 2008, this program served a total of 189,874 meals last year,
of which 57,760 were at the congregate sites and 132,114 were
home-delivered meals with a budget of $1,143,083
- For a total program of: $1,133,747
-Federal Allocation: $ 603,278
-Program Revenue: $ 90,000
-USDA Reimbursement: $96,992
-CSBG Transfer: $ 276,446
-In-Kind Match $ 53,000
-County Match (Cash): $ 14,031
- Indirect costs are not included in the budget
- Upon receipt of the award:
-Authorizing the Administrator to sign the notice of grant
award
-Approving the budget
-Authorizing the Administrator to sign delegate
contracts

C. County Administration/Corporation Counsel
Settlement
of Pending Litigation
- Settling Bruce Lee v The County of Washtenaw et al, Case No.
08-12350-GL and Beatrice McKeown v The County of Washtenaw et al, Case No.
09-0457-GL
- Settlement to be paid from Insurance proceeds as well as County
funds
- County portion of settlement is $125,000
- County portion to be paid out of reimbursements from the
insurance company for attorney fees
- No general fund dollars to be used as part of
settlement
