Water Resources Commissioner

Allen Creek Drain Pioneer High School Storm Water Detention System Drain Project

  • To pledge Washtenaw County's Full Faith and Credit in an amount not to exceed $5,360,000, which will be retired through special assessments
  • To reduce downstream flooding and improve water quality in the Allen Creek Drainage District

Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program - Local Solicitation (Support Document) (Budget Narrative) (Budget Detail)

  • Ratifying the electronic submission of a grant application
    -To the United States Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs
    -For the period of October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2012
  • To replace a patrol boat and other repair needs in the Sheriff Marine Safety fleet
  • To continue providing patrol on Washtenaw County's bodies of water in a safe and reliable manner
  • For a total program of $39,125

  • To reduce and prevent juvenile crime through the continuation and enhancement of the Trial Court Juvenile Night Surveillance division

  • To offer a menu of training workshops for building capacity in the areas of Collaboration and Community Engagement, Program Development, and Program Evaluation for 30 community organizations
  • To develop expertise in existing and emerging green sector job opportunities in Public Health, allowing them to become a liaison between green employment/training organizations and non-profits, and to acquire skills to use new technologies for training and community engagement
