Grant (Support

- Ratifying the electronic submission of a grant application
- To the United States Department of Justice

- To continue to strengthen the Medical Examiner Program in
collaboration with the University of Michigan Health System- Pathology
Department through continuous improvement efforts
- To improve medicolegal investigations locally and to continue to
advance the goal of developing a regional death investigative system and
achieving National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME)
accreditation
- Funding will be used for equipment upgrades and enhanced training
opportunities for Medical Examiner Program staff in Washtenaw County and
nationwide
- This is the second year applying for this grant. Last year's
grant award was for $94,582.

- To develop, refine, and disseminate a resource kit for local
health organizations and process for developing a community-based network
of closed points of dispensing (PODS) with the capacity to serve vulnerable
population groups appropriately and maximize the availability of limited
public health resources during a health emergency
- In collaboration with the Michigan Office of Public Health
Preparedness, the University of Michigan Center for Public Health
Preparedness, local health departments in Michigan including (Monroe County
Public Health Department), and numerous local organizations
- For a total program of $466,489

Corrections Advisory Board Grant (Support

to the Washtenaw County Trial Court such as pre-trial services, drug

have hired additional part time position to help with the increase in
program usage

Washtenaw
County Land Bank Authority (Interlocal
Agreement)
- To establish a Washtenaw Land Bank Authority is an
Intergovernmental Agreement between the County Treasurer as the Foreclosing
Governmental Unit (FGU) and the State of Michigan's Land Bank Fast Track
Authority
- To allow the Land Bank Authority the option to operate using
County resources by reimbursing the County General Fund from Land Bank
Authority funds
- To acquire properties in order to return them to their highest
productive use
