· Authorizing the signature of the County Administrator on the application · To the United States Environmental Protection Agency |

· For the development of best practices to assure the proper disposal of unused pharmaceuticals to protect the citizens of Washtenaw County and the environment |

· Providing a disposal option for citizens through partnership with local pharmacies, the University of Michigan and St. Joseph Hospital |

· With education and communication on best practices through various media |

|
· For a total program of $31,083 -Federal Revenue: $25,000 |

· To provide emergency food and nutrition assistance at no cost to low-income individuals including those who are unemployed, elderly, and homeless |
|||
|
· Eligibility is based on income level (130% of poverty level for persons under 60 years of age and 160% of poverty level for persons aged 60+) |
|||
|
· Serves approximately 625 families per quarterly distribution, for a total of 2,500 families |
|||
|
· For a total program of

· Authorizing the Administrator to sign the collective bargaining agreement with AFSCME Local 2733, which represents approximately 700 employees |
|||
|
· The contract term is three years (2008-2010) |
|||
|
· Specifying a number of adjustments to wages and other benefit modifications, as well as non-economic operational language agreements |
|||
|
RECOMMENDATION: Approval |
|||
|
· Authorizing the Administrator to extend certain negotiated wage increases and benefit modifications specified in the AFSCME 2733 agreement to all non-union employees in order to achieve consistency throughout the organization |
|||
|
· Adjustments will be included in the ten-year budget projections |
|||
|
