Planning & Environment

School Chemistry Recovery Project

Ø Ratifying the signature of the Administrator on the application

Ø To the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality

Ø For the period 7/1/06 – 7/1/08

Ø To conduct assessments of chemistry laboratories within Washtenaw County, identify potential risks, and offer access to hazardous chemical disposal resources

Ø For a total program of $31,956
o State Revenue: $24,000
o Match: $ 7,956 (In-kind $5,856; Cash $2,100)
o Indirect Costs: 0

Ø Upon receipt of the award:

    • Authorizing the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant Award
    • Amending the budget
    • Authorizing the Administrator to sign the delegate contracts

RECOMMENDATION: Approval

B.

Support Services Community of Interest

Department of Infrastructure & Planning

Wireless Washtenaw Governance Structure & Master Agreement

Ø Approving the proposed Wireless Washtenaw Governance Structure and organizational chart

Ø To establish an Executive Operations Committee, a Stakeholder Committee and a Strategic Advisory Committee to oversee the Wireless Washtenaw initiative and formally report recommendations to the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners

Ø Approving the Wireless Washtenaw Master Participation Agreement

Ø To allow Washtenaw County to act as the lead entity and coordinate efforts to deploy a county-wide network utilizing assets from local units of government

Ø Authorizing the Administrator to sign delegate contracts

  1. 2005 Year End Budget Adjustment

Ø Approving a budget adjustment to allow the proper close out of the 2005 fiscal year

RECOMMENDATION: Approval at the Board

  1. Police Services Costs for 2008-2009

Ø Approving the 2008-2009 charges to local contracting entities for police services under the current 4-year contract

Ø Approving the county-wide services to be provided by the County in 2008-2009 under the contract

Ø Authorizing the County Administrator to take all action necessary to implement the changes to the police services contract
