a. Annual Drive Michigan Safely Program

  • Ratifying the submission of the application
  • To the Office of Highway Safety Planning
  • For the period 12/14/04 9/30/05

  • To provide additional policing to prevent alcohol/drug related fatalities during the seasonal holiday periods
  • In the amount of $69,599
    -State Funding $69,599
    -Match: 0
    -Indirect Costs: 0


  • Upon receipt of the award:
    -authorizing the Administrator to sign the notice of grant award

    -amending the budget
    -authorizing the Administrator to sign the delegate contracts

RECOMMENDATION: Approval

b. Annual Marine Safety Grant Program

  • Authorizing the County Administrator to sign the application
  • To the Michigan Department of Natural Resources
  • For the period 1/1/05 12/31/05

  • To supplement boat safety education and provide water patrol services.

  • For a total program of $47,000
    -State Revenue: $47,000
    -Match: 0
    -Indirect Costs: 0

2005 Comprehensive Community Corrections Plan Agreement

  • Ratifying the signature of the Administrator on the agreement
  • To the Michigan Department of Corrections
  • For the period 10/1/04 9/30/05

  • To provide funding for the Community Corrections Program for the purpose of offering diversion and alternative sentencing options to the Washtenaw County Criminal Court

  • For a total program of $1,165,310

  • To provide home weatherization services to 20 eligible residents
  • For a total program of $67,967

2. Annual 2005 MPSC/MCAAA CAA Heating Assistance

  • To provide emergency energy services to approximately 118 individuals whose annual family income is at or below 200% of poverty level

  • For a total program of $63,338
