Annual Senior Nutrition Program

 

 

 

 

 

à         Ratifying the signature of the County Administrator on a grant application

à         To the Area Agency on Aging 1-B

à         For the period October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005

 

à         To provide meals to community senior citizens

à         For a total program amount of $892,988:

o        Federal revenue:            $608,718

o        Match: County’s budgeted $53,058

o        Inkind                                     $43,200

o        Anticipated Revenue            $85,000

o        USDA Reimbursement    $102,912

 

à         Upon Receipt of the award:
-Authorizing the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant Award
-Amending the budget
- Authorizing the County Administrator to sign the delegate and lease contracts

2. Parks & Recreation Commission

 

 

 

 

 

Renewing Parks & Recreation Millage

 

 

 

 

 

à         Authorizing the County Clerk to place on November 2, 2004 Ballot

à         A question to renew the Parks & Recreation Millage

à         For an additional ten years

à         Existing millage expires December 1, 2006

à         If approved by the voters, new millage will take effect on December 1, 2007

3. Planning & Environment – Community Development

 

 

 

 

 

Washtenaw Community Health Organization Housing Project

 

 

 

 

 

à         Authorizing the Administrator to sign a contract

à         With the Washtenaw Community Health Organization

à         In the amount of $75,000

 

à         To support the acquisition and rehabilitation of two group homes in Pittsfield and Northfield Township and to ensure that homes meet Section 8 Housing Quality Standards

 

à         Homes are located at 3800 Glengarry Ct (Pittsfield Twp) and 5623 Thomas Road (Northfield Twp)

 

 

 

 

 

RECOMMENDATION: Approval at the Board meeting

 

 

 

 

 

4. Planning & Environment – Brownfield Redevelopment

 

 

 

 

 

Brownfield Redevelopment Plan Amendment – Superior Township Corners of Dixboro Project

 

 

 

 

 

à    Adopting the proposed amendment to the Brownfield Redevelopment Plan for Washtenaw County

à    Approving tax increment financing and single business tax credit incentives

à    For the Superior Township Corners at Dixboro Brownfield Redevelopment Project

à         To the Michigan Family Independence Agency

à         For the period 10/1/04 – 9/30/05

 

à         To provide funding for implementation of the planning strategy developed by the Building Restorative Communities Initiative for enhancing the quality of lives for all through community partnerships that provide youth opportunities, skills, hope and confidence

 

à         For a total amount of $100,000

-           Federal Revenue:$100,000

-           Match:                                    0

-           Indirect Costs: 0

 

à         Upon receipt of the award:

-           Authorizing the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant Award

-           Amending the budget

-           Authorizing the Administrator to sign the delegate contracts

-           Creating a grant status BRC Coord./Project SUCCES Counselor position

§          -Grade 22, Group 14

§          - Salary Range : $36,288 - $47,198

-           Adopting the job description

2. Juvenile Drug Court Planning Grant

 

 

 

 

 

à         Authorizing the signature of the County Administrator on a grant application

à         To the Michigan State Court Administrative Office

à         For the period of July 1, 2004 to December 31, 2004

 

à         Grant will allow for the creation of two grant-funded positions to plan a Washtenaw County Juvenile Drug Court

 

à         In the amount of $94,667:

o        Grant funding $71,000

o        In-kind match $12,633

o        Child Care Fund $11,034

o        Indirect Costs:

 

Upon receipt of the grant:
-Authorizing the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant Award
-Amending the budget
-Authorizing the Administrator to sign the delegate contracts
-Create the grant status positions of Juvenile Drug Court Coordinator (1.0 FTE)
    and Probation Officer I/II (1.0 FTE)
