        To provide meals to community senior citizens

        For a total program amount of $892,988:

o        Federal revenue:            $608,718

o        Match: Countys budgeted $53,058

o        Inkind                                     $43,200

o        Anticipated Revenue            $85,000

        Existing millage expires December 1, 2006

        If approved by the voters, new millage will take effect on December 1, 2007

Washtenaw Community Health Organization Housing Project

 

 

 

 

 

        Authorizing the Administrator to sign a contract

        With the Washtenaw Community Health Organization

        In the amount of $75,000

 

        To support the acquisition and rehabilitation of two group homes in Pittsfield and Northfield Township and to ensure that homes meet Section 8 Housing Quality Standards

 

        Homes are located at 3800 Glengarry Ct (Pittsfield Twp) and 5623 Thomas Road (Northfield Twp)

        For a total amount of $100,000

-           Indirect Costs: 0

 

        Upon receipt of the award:

-           Authorizing the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant Award

-           Amending the budget

2. Juvenile Drug Court Planning Grant

 

 

 

 

 

        Authorizing the signature of the County Administrator on a grant application

        To the Michigan State Court Administrative Office

        For the period of July 1, 2004 to December 31, 2004

 

        Grant will allow for the creation of two grant-funded positions to plan a Washtenaw County Juvenile Drug Court

 

        In the amount of $94,667:

o        Grant funding $71,000

o        In-kind match $12,633

o        Child Care Fund $11,034

o        Indirect Costs:

 

Upon receipt of the grant:
-Authorizing the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant Award
-Amending the budget
-Authorizing the Administrator to sign the delegate contracts
-Create the grant status positions of Juvenile Drug Court Coordinator (1.0 FTE)
    and Probation Officer I/II (1.0 FTE)

a. Energy Efficiency Project Chevron Contract

 

 

 

 

 

        Authorizing the signature of the Administrator on the contract

        With Chevron Energy Solutions

        For a project from June 2004 to December 2005

 

        Contract will allow Chevron to upgrade energy components in Washtenaw County buildings

 

        In the amount of $6,200,000.

b. Solar Grant

 

 

 

 

 

        Ratifying the signature of the Administrator on the application

        To the Michigan Dept of Labor & Econ. Growths Energy Office

        For the period July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005

 

        To provide the installation of a large-scale solar photovoltaic demonstration that will provide electricity to the downtown Courthouse parking structure

 

        For a total program of $98,000

         State Revenue: $60,000

         Match Inkind $38,000

        Upon receipt of the award:

         Authorizing the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant Award

         Amending the budget

         Authorizing the Administrator to sign the delegate contracts

2. Support Services Organizational Development

 

 

 

 

 

Compassion Capital Fund Demonstration Grant

 

 

 

 

 

        Ratifying the signature of the County Administrator on the application

        To the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

        For the period of January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2005

 

        Funds will be used by Washtenaw County and Nonprofit Enterprise at Work to improve internal operations of community organizations and faith based organizations

 

        20% of the funds will be directly distributed to 10 local community organization sub-grantees and one time services to an additional 10 organizations

 

        In the Amount of $856,468:

o        Match: $121,126 (Inkind)

o        $10,271 (budgeted gen. fund)

 

        Upon Receipt of the Grant:

o        Authorizing the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant Award

o        Amending the budget

o        Authorizing the Administrator to sign the delegate contracts

o        Creating a grant status Administrative Coordinator position

o        -Grade 25, Group 32

o        - Salary Range : $28,769 - $39,372

o        Creating a grant status Management Analyst position

o        -Grade 27/29, Group 32
