Drain

a. Allen’s Creek Rain Gardens

• Ratifying the Administrator’s signature on the application

• To Michigan Department of Environmental Quality

• For the period May 1, 2004 – April 30, 2006

• To construct and evaluate the effectiveness of raingardens in reducing pollutant flow into Allen’s Creek, a County Drain within the City of Ann Arbor

• For either Clean Michigan initiative or Section 319 funds (at the State’s discretion)

• In the amount of $85,495

-Revenue: $62,995

-Match: $22,500 (Ann Arbor City)

-Indirect Costs: $2,770

• Upon receipt of the award:

-Authorize the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant Award

-Amend the budget

-Authorize the County Administrator to sign delegate contracts

RECOMMENDATION: Approval

b. County Farm Park Wetland

• Ratifying the County Administrator’s signature on the application

• To Michigan Department of Environmental Quality

• For the period May 1, 2004 – April 30, 2006

• To construct a wetland detention facility at County Farm Park in the City of Ann Arbor to reduce pollutant flow into Mallets Creek, which flows into the Huron River.

• For either Clean Michigan initiative or Section 319 funds (at the State’s discretion)

• In the amount of $481,343

-Revenue: $351,617

-Match: $129,726 (Special Assessment & Inkind)

-Indirect Costs: $1,884

• Upon receipt of the award:

-Authorize the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant Award

-Amend the budget

-Authorize the County Administrator to sign delegate contracts

Refunding Bonds, Series 2003A Lease Amendment Contract

• Amending the lease contract

• Between Washtenaw County & Building Authority

• For the purpose of shortening the debt service payment from the County to the Building Authority resulting from the refunding of Bond Series 2003A
