A. Employment Training and Community Services
1. Annual Partnership for Adult Learning Program (PAL)
- Approving of funding
- For the period 10/1/02 - 9/30/03
- To provide services to prepare individuals for employment or better employment by way of education to work or education to education to work.
- For a total program of $349,881
- Federal: $349,881

- Upon receipt of the award:
- Authorizing the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant Award
- Amending the budget
- Authorizing the Administrator to sign delegate contracts
RECOMMENDATION: Approval at the Board meeting
2. The Emergency Food Assistance Annual Program (TEFAP)
- Ratifying the signature of the Administrator on the application
- To the Michigan Department of Education
- For the period 10/1/02 - 9/30/03
- To provide supplemental USDA purchased food to 300 families by providing them with emergency food and nutrition assistance at no cost
- For a total program of $30,000 (approximate-based on reimb)
- Federal Revenue: $30,000
- Match: $ 0
- Indirect Costs: $ 0
RECOMMENDATION: Approval at the Board meeting
B. Facilities Management
Healy Snyder, Bender and Associates Contract Amendment
- Authorizing the Administrator to sign the contract amendment
- with the Healy Snyder, Bender and Associates
- To provide consulting and architectural services in for the County's space needs relative tothe Court Study of 1999
- For a total contract not to exceed $41,000 (amendment is $16,000)
RECOMMENDATION: Approval at the Board meeting
C. Administration
1. Child Support Enforcement System - Memorandum of Understanding
- Authorizing the Chair of the Board to sign the Memorandum of Understanding
- With the Family Independence Agency
- To outline the terms and conditions for the Friend of the Court conversion to the statewide child support enforcement system by July 31, 2003
