v                 For match to an application to the Michigan Department of Education

 

v                 To improve school readiness and foster the maintenance of stable families through parent involvement, parent education and early intervention/prevention services for young children

-Match: $ 489,914 ($244,957cash and $244,957 inkind)

 

v                 The $489,914 match requirement is 50% cash and 50% inkind:

-Cash match: WISD $50,000

Public Schools $50,000

County $40,000

To be Determined $104,957 (is being sought from local foundations, nonprofits, United Ways and the Workforce Development Board through Partners in Adult Learning)

Annual FY 2001 Displaced Homemaker Program

v            To the Michigan Department of Career Development

v            To serve 52 individuals with vocational assessment & counseling, job seeking training, job placement assistance, direct job development & placement assistance, referrals to community services and information on other government programs

 

v            Contractual service providers include Helpsource Inc. and The Womens Center of America

 

v            For a total program of $55,000

-State Revenue: $55,000

-Match: 0

-Indirect Costs: 0

 

v            Upon receipt of the award:

-Authorizing the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant -Award

v                 Adopting the Summary of Benefits and Procedures

 

v                 To provide insurance coverages:

-CMM250 or MM50 health care through Blue Cross / Blue Shield or plans offered through the Flexible Benefits Program, or equivalent

-Dental care through Delta Dental, or equivalent

-Optical care through Blue Cross / Blue Shield at the employees expense, or equivalent

 

v                             Authorizing the Administrator to negotiate said benefits with the various union groups

v                             Extending to the non-union group
