Annual Emergency Management Performance Grant

v        Authorizing the Chair of the Board to sign the grant

v        With the State of Michigan

v        For the period 10/1/00 – 9/30/01

v        To receive FEMA reimbursement funds for 40%-50% of the Emergency Management Director’s salary and fringe benefits

v        Upon receipt of the award:

Environmental Services Activities

v        Authorizing the Administrator to sign the annual grant contract

v        With the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality

v        For the period 10/1/00 – 9/30/01

v        To provide public health and safety services through environmental programs

v        Programs include Non-Community Water Supply, Drinking Water Monitoring, Radon Awareness Activities, Swimming Pool Inspections, Source Water Assessment, On-Site Sewage Disposal and Drinking Water Protection

v        For a total revenue amount of $509,662 (budgeted)

v        Authorizing the Administrator to sign delegate contracts

Historic Preservation Grant Program

v        Authorizing the Administrator to sign the application

v        To the State of Michigan

v        For restoration of the Hack House Museum in Milan during 2001

v        Funding to be passed through to City of Milan

v        For a total program of $42,000

-State Revenue: $30,000

-Match: $12,000 (City of Milan)

-Indirect Costs: 0

v        Upon receipt of the award:

-Authorizing the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant Award

-Amending the budget

-Authorizing the Administrator to sign delegate contracts

Ypsilanti Gateway Community & Economic Development Corporation – Housing Affordability Agreement

v        Authorizing the Administrator to sign the Affordability Agreement

v        With Ypsilanti Gateway Community & Economic Development Corporation

v        For a recoverable grant to purchase two vacant lots (Lots 83 & 84) on Orchard Street in Ypsilanti to build single family homes for sale to qualified low to moderate income families

v        In the amount of $21,000

v        To be repaid on the sale of the housing unit

RECOMMENDATION: Approval

Ypsilanti Gateway Community & Economic Development Corporation – Housing Affordability Agreement

v        Authorizing the Administrator to sign the Affordability Agreement

v        With Ypsilanti Gateway Community & Economic Development Corporation

v        For a recoverable grant to purchase four vacant lots (Lots 53,54, 81 & 82) on Worden & Orchard Streets in Ypsilanti to build single family homes for sale to qualified low to moderate income families

v        In the amount of $40,000

v        To be repaid on the sale of the housing unit
