    1. Annual Weatherization Program

  • To the Michigan Department of Energy/Michigan Family Independence Agency
  • For the period 4/1/00 – 3/31/01
  • To provide outreach, intake, pre-inspection, blower door/health and safety furnaces testing, post-inspection for low income residents
  • For a program amount of $172,675

    2. Summer Enrichment Program–Family Independence Agency/TANF

  • To serve 215 participants by providing a combination of Community Services and Workforce Development activities (such as adult education services, adult computer classes and adult literacy services, job search services, career exploration and job fairs, transportation services, decision-making and life skills services, money management skills training, budgeting, parenting, home maintenance and nutrition education training, childcare services and children enrichment services)
  • Services performed through contract with People Organizing Working Educating and Rehabilitating (POWER) Inc. 
  • For a total program of $647,105

  • To provide crisis intervention, counseling and treatment services to victims of sexual assault and abuse, medical and personal advocacy at hospitals, criminal justice advocacy and court preparation and accompaniment
  • For a program amount of $126,836/year

    -Match: $ 25,382 (Inkind volunteers)
