  • Ratifying the Chair of the Boards signature on the application
  • To the Michigan Department of Career Development
  • For the period 04/01/00- 12/31/00
  • To provide transportation services to 935 Temporary Assistance for Needy Families recipients in areas not covered by local public transportation, willing to stop at day care centers, and offer extended service hours
  • To support the costs of a Mobility Manager employed by RideSource to coordinate the calls for rides
  • For a total program amount of $201,701
-Federal Funds: $124,701 -In-kind Match (RideSource): $ 77,000

    Establishing a Washtenaw County HOME Consortium
     
   
  • Authorizing the Administrator to sign the Cooperation Agreement
  • To the Housing & Urban Development for the period of October 1, 2000 through December 31, 2003
  • To allow for housing activities such as reconstruction & rehabiliating housing, homeownership assistance, public facilities & infrastructure improvement job training & brownfield redevelopment
  • Partners include Ypsilanti City, Superior Township, Pittsfield Township, and Ypsilanti Township

  E. Sheriff
     
    Racial Profiling Project
     
   
  • Authorizing a data collection and analysis project
  • To be conducted by Dr. John Lamberth of Temple University
  • To address allegations of racial profiling in Washtenaw County
  • For a total amount of $45,000
  • $30,000 from unearmarked reserve
  • Additional $15,000 needed for internal staff support for the project to come from the Sheriffs budget
  • Authorizing the Administrator to sign delegate contract
 
     
    RECOMMENDATION: Approval
     
    Creating & Eliminating Positions for the COPS MORE 98 Grant Program
     
   
  • To more accurately reflect staffing and security needs
  • Creating nine (9) 1.0 Corrections Officer positions
-Grade 56, Group 27

-Salary Range:$27,227 - $42,661

  • Eliminating ten (10) 1.0 Office Specialist II positions
-Grade 54, Group 27

-Salary Range:$23,421 - $31,866
