A. APPOINTMENTS:

1. Resolution appointing members to the Washtenaw County Board of Canvassers under the provisions of M.C.L.A 168.24c

B. WAYS & MEANS – SEPTEMBER 19, 2007:

1. Resolution ratifying the County Administrator’s signature on the electronic grant application to the State of Michigan, Office of Highway Safety Planning, for the Safe Communities 2007 – 2008 Grant program for one year, with a grant fiscal year of October 1 – September 30, 2008 in the amount of $99,839; authorizing the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant Award; amending the budget and authorizing the Administrator to sign delegate contracts

2. Resolution ratifying the signature of the Chair of the Board of Commissioners on the grant application to the State of Michigan, Office of Highway Safety Planning, for the continuation of the Sheriff’s Department Secondary Road Patrol Program, in the amount of $270,108 for the period of October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008

3. Resolution authorizing the Chair of the Board of Commissioners to sign the Emergency Management FY2008 Work Agreement and County Administrator to sign the local budget for FY2008 for Emergency Management performance grant with the Michigan State Police Emergency Management and Homeland Security division, for the period October 1, 2007 to September 30, 2008, to reimburse Washtenaw County for up to 50% of the Emergency Management Director’s salary and fringe benefits; and authorizing the administrator to sign the delegate contracts

4. Resolution authorizing the Chair of the Board of Commissioners to sign the Southeast Mutual Aid Agreement between the Counties of Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Saint Clair, Washtenaw, and Wayne to allow local units of government to join the Mutual Aid Agreement.

C. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS:

1. Resolution authorizing payment of claims commencing with the last previously approved claim and continuing through the date of September 21, 2007

D. NEW BUSINESS:

1. Resolution approving two Washtenaw County Purchase of Development Rights (PDR) Urban Cooperation Act Agreements (UCA): one with Bridgewater Township and one with Superior Charter Township, and directing the County Administrator to sign both UCA agreements

2. Resolution to begin the selection round of the Washtenaw County Purchase of Development Rights program for the purposed of making a Washtenaw County Application to the Michigan Agricultural Preservation Fund (MAPF) in 2008 and to direct the County Clerk to publish a notice of the Washtenaw County Purchase of Development Rights 2007 selection round in a newspaper of general circulation in the County

3. Resolution to accept comments from Washtenaw County Department of Planning and Environment staff on the Saline Township Growth Management Plan Revisions and to direct the County Clerk to send comments to Saline Township and the contiguous local units of government ( County Staff Support Agreement)

4. Resolution setting a public hearing for the proposed 2008/2009 budget

5. Resolution adopting a revised 2007 Board of Commissioners calendar and 2008/09 Planning Process Calendar
