A.             WAYS & MEANS COMMITTEE June 2, 2004:

 

 

 

1.       Resolution to adopt the Proposed Amendment to the Brownfield Redevelopment Plan for Washtenaw County approving tax increment financing and single business tax credit incentives for the Superior Township Corners at Dixboro Brownfield Redevelopment Project

 

 

 

B.        WAYS & MEANS COMMITTEE July 7, 2004

 

 

 

2.       Resolution authorizing the Chair of the Boards signature on the 2004 Employment Services Plan Application to the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth for the period of July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005 in the amount of $515,786 for the Employment Training and Community Services Department; authorizing the Administrator to sign the Notice of Grant Award; approve the budget, and authorizing the County Administrator to sign the delegate contracts

3.       Resolution ratifying the County Administrator s signature on the Application to the Office of Services to the Aging (OSA) for the 2005 Foster Grandparent Program in the amount of $19,176 for the period of October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005 for the Employment Training and Community Services Group; authorizing the Administrator to sign the notice of grant award; amending the budget; and authorizing the Administrator to sign delegate contracts

4.       Resolution authorizing the Chair of the Boards signature on the 2004 Trade Act Program in the amount of $64,900 for the period of October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004 for the Employment Training and Community Services Group; authorizing the County Administrator to sign notice of grant award; approving the budget and authorizing the Administrator to sign delegate contracts

5.       Resolution authorizing the Chair of the Boards signature on the Workforce Investment Act Program Year (PY) 2004 Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth Plan in the total amount of $1,440,217 for the period of July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005 for Employment Training and Community Services Group ; authorizing the County Administrator to sign notice of grant awards; approving the budget and authorizing the Administrator to sign delegate contracts

6.       Resolution authorizing the Chair of the Boards signature on the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Program Year (PY) 2004 Capacity Building and Professional Development Plan in the total amount of $24,000 for the period of July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005 for the Employment Training and Community Services Group; authorizing the County Administrator to sign notice of grant award; approving the budget and authorizing the Administrator to sign delegate contracts

7.       Resolution authorizing the County Administrators signature on the application to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the Summer Food Program for Children in the amount of $106,145 for the period of June 21, 2004 through August 27, 2004 for the Employment Training and Community Services Group; authorizing the Administrator to sign the notice of grant award; amending the budget; and authorizing the County Administrator to sign delegate service contracts

8.       Resolution authorizing the Administrator to sign the contract with Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley for the purpose of providing homeownership assistance to low-income homebuyers in the amount of $30,000 for 3422 and 3432 Ferry Street, Ann Arbor

9.       Resolution authorizing the County Administrator to sign the grant agreement to the State of Michigan for Personal Property Audit Grant for the Equalization and Property Description Department in the amount of $113,750 for the period of July 15, 2004 September 30, 2004

10. Resolution ratifying the signature of the County Administrator on the Public Assistance Grant Agreement (FEMA-3189-EM) with the Michigan State Police in the amount of $31,296 as partial reimbursement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for costs associated with the August 2003 blackout

11. Resolution ratifying the signature of the County Administrator on the application to the State of Michigan, Michigan Department of Corrections/Office of Community Corrections, for the FY 2005 Washtenaw County/City of Ann Arbor Community Corrections Comprehensive Plan for the period October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005 in the amount of $1,277,441

12. Resolution authorizing the Administrator to sign the contract with Washtenaw Intermediate School District for education for the Childrens Services Detention and Day Programs for two school years for a total amount of $656,266

13. Resolution ratifying the Administrators signature on the application to the Department of Health and Human Services for the Head Start Program for the period of August 1, 2003 through July 31, 2004 in the amount of $48,753; authorizing the Administrator to sign the notice of grant award; approving the budget and authorizing the Administrator to sign delegate contracts

14. Resolution creating and eliminating positions within Community Support and Treatment Services

15. Resolution ratifying the County Administrators signature on the continuation funding application to the Michigan AIDS Fund in the amount of $23,605 for the period of March 1, 2005 through September 30, 2005; authorizing the Administrator to sign the notice of grant award; amending the budget and authorizing the Administrator to sign delegate contracts

16. Resolution authorizing the County Administrator to sign the Energy Services Contract with Chevron Energy Solutions in the amount of $6,088,652 for the period of June 2, 2004 through January 31, 2010

17. Resolution authorizing the Administrator to sign the contract with Washtenaw United Way for start-up and initial operating costs of the 2-1-1 Information and Referral Program to quickly and easily connect consumers to local health and human service providers in the amount of $25,000

18. Resolution granting the request of the Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels to be exempt from the requirements of the Washtenaw County Living Wage Ordinance

D.       NEW BUSINESS:

 

 

 

20. Resolution supporting both the Drug Fair Pricing Act and the Great Lakes Alliance for Affordable Drugs Act , and strongly urge the Michigan House of Representatives to take action and pass these bills

 

21. Resolution adopting an ordinance designating McMahon Springs as a Washtenaw County Historic District under the jurisdiction of the Washtenaw County Historic District Commission
