Board Action Requested:
In compliance with MCL 168.639, the County Board of Commissioners appoints the Election Scheduling Committee members at the first meeting of the board each odd-numbered year. The committee consists of the County Clerk and three (3) other members.
I hereby recommend for the Board’s consideration the following names for appointment:
Dianne S. Hill, Saline City Clerk
LuAnn Strieter Koch, Sylvan Township Clerk
Diane B. Hockett, Ann Arbor School Board Member
The terms of these appointments shall be from January 1, 1999 to December 31, 2000. A resolution is attached for approval at the January 20, 1999 board meeting.

WASHTENAW COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

WHEREAS, MCL 168.639 mandates the appointment of the County Election Scheduling Committee by the County Board of Commissioners at the first meeting of the board each odd-numbered year. The committee consists of the County Clerk and three (3) other members; and
WHEREAS, the Washtenaw County Clerk/Register has made recommendation in this matter,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners hereby appoints Dianne S. Hill, Saline City Clerk, LuAnn Strieter Koch, Sylvan Township Clerk, and Diane B. Hockett, Ann Arbor School Board Member, to serve with Peggy M. Haines, Washtenaw County Clerk/Register as the Washtenaw County Election Scheduling Committee from January 1, 1999 through December 31, 2000.
