Communities of Interest
By using Communities of Interest,
Washtenaw County recognizes that many different departments – as well as
external agencies – share similar customers, goals, and processes.
Communities of Interest make county government operate better by
creating opportunities to share ideas and work collaboratively and focus
resources to best serve our customers.
“Participation in a community of interest is simply maximizing networking opportunities, an opportunity where people come together to work on a common problem or goal. Working as a community of interest can result in maximizing resources and delivering comprehensive services and programs, as well as promoting change and growth.” - Mary Udoji, LLRC
All County departments fit in at least one Community of Interest. The Communities and their departments are each listed below.
